P John Williams

P John Williams is Associate Professor in the Centre for Science and Technology Education Research at the University of Waikato. He conducts research into Technology Education, and teaches and supervises research students.

Apart from New Zealand, he has worked and studied in a number of African and Indian Ocean countries and in Australia and the United States; his postgraduate study was done in the USA. He consults on Technology Education in a number of countries, is the Chief Examiner for The International Baccalaureate Design Technology and External Examiner for the Mauritius and Hong Kong Institutes of Education.

His current research interests include mentoring beginning teachers and electronic assessment of performance. He has published over 40 articles, has authored and co-authored 11 books and regularly presents at international and national conferences. He is a longstanding member of 8 professional associations and is Advisory Editor of the International Journal of Technology and Design Education and is on the editorial board The Journal of Technology Education and Design and Technology Education: An International Journal. He holds an adjunct professorial position at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia.
