Project Aims

The software program Scratch was developed by the MIT Media Lab and is designed to help children learn how to program and develop computer-based environemtns in a fun and interesting way. The project is aimed at exploring what children can do with Scratch and how working with the program can enhance their learning in mathematics and ICT. The initial stages of the project will involve the development and trialling of a small scale classroom pilot study aimed at exploring the educational potential of Scratch.
